Hi I am currently obtaining guide data via xml. I read in a earlier thread that if you have a bat file that builds the xml file established, then it is simply a matter of pressing update guide and gbpvr will execute your .bat file and then read the xml file. Has anyone had any experience with this. The thread stated it was required to name the .bat file updateegp.bat and gbpvr will execute it. I have been able to direct gbpvr to process the xml file but not execute the updateepg.bat script. Any thoughts on this matter appreciated.

Running the batch file only happens with the automated EPG update, or from System screen's Update EPG button. It doesnt happen from the capture source 'update epg' button (since this is related to a single capture source, not a system wide epg update).

Hi sub,
Thanks for the reply. Yes I tried to update from with in GBPVR. I selected system and then update epg. My batch file name is updateepg.bat It is located in a directory called epg. Which I pointed to while configuring xml guide in source tab. I don't think that GBPVR is calling the batch file. If I execute the batch file myself which creates a new xml guide file then I can update epg fine. Is that how I should be using this. Is this correct?

That'll be why. It only looks for updateepg.bat file in the gbpvr install directory.
