hello, I have upgraded my computer system and i can't the the pvr 500 to record correctly.
asus p5e pro
8800 alpha dog
8gb from
ati 650 tv tuner working

Here is my problem I can only get one turner working correctly at a time, where as on my old system I got all three tuners to record at the same time, without any problems. No the 2nd and 3rd turners record but with no sound and the picture is scrambled.

any ideas on what i can do to fix this problem?

I have tried to save the print screen but every time the picture goers from
scramble to blank. It could be my computer, I notice that when all three tuner are recording windows popup start saying audio unplug or something had been plugged in.

You should be able to take a screenshot when you're using the GBPVR with the VMR9 renderer.

I thought that i fixed this problem but today it's not recording with the dual pvr 500. i did a print screen and have uploaded this image. the scramble image is on the left and the 2nd lcd image is on the right.

when recording with all three turners the computer audio unplugs in and out.
the ati-tuner records okay, but i have to check the other recording it made.

the pvr-500 recordings are all scramble. Any thing you can do to help me fix this problem would be great. I have the PVR-2250 on order i dont know if that will fix my problem but i have to wait til it comes in. Asus has given me a RMA # to return the motherboard but who is to say that will fix it.

Yeah, thats pretty screwy. It could either be a recording problem or playback problem though. Have you tried different video decoders for playback?

Or try playing the file on another machine, or using vlc.

If its not a playback problem, then its either screwy 500 drivers, or the device has gone bad.

i have it set to cable and the day before i tested to see if it was working and it recorded all 3 show. The next day when it was to record all the show only the ati ones were watchable. I have now placed the dual tuner pvr-500 in my old system to see if it works correctly and it does. all show that it recorded are watchable. I got an RMA for the motherboard and video card this week plus I ordered the new pvr 2250 the digital one. not sure if Qam works in canada with rogers, but i will try it
