I've been having a problem with receiving live tv from a host computer with gbpvr over a wireless network. I am able to access recordings but not live tv. What happens when I select live tv is that it will be black for about 5 seconds and then goes back to the main menu. I've tried streaming and file sharing mode as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

HD or SD?

Zip and post a set of logs after reproducing the issue.

Try increasing the "LiveTV Pre-play delay" in Config by a couple of seconds. This will mean that channel changes will take longer but it will give the file more time to buffer.

no dice. Does it matter if there is no encoding or to have just the ts encoding?

Sorry, I didn't look at the PVRx2.exe.log earlier, just the native. You are getting a .Net socket exception ("No such host found"). Make sure you have applied all the patches from the survival guide. If you still experience the issue, add a firewall exception for the GBPVRRecordingService.exe on the server machine and PVRx2.exe on the client machine.

Still no dice with the firewall change.

Can you view the LiveTV folder if you open My Computer and enter "\\Familyroom\temp\" in the address bar?

There is the manual recordings folder but no live tv folder when I type it in the address bar.

That's with hidden folders being shown as well.
