Wonderful News! I am still hanging on the old one waiting for a rebirth.

I would suggest similar functionality to the old one to start with (no burning stuff or encoding) I have 100s of movies and I cannot live without MyVidoes. Let me know if you need beta testers.

Here my favorites and they are mostly for movie organization/playback

- Folder-based organization (with thumbnails folder.jpg) where I can just add a movie and it will show up in the category
- IMDB lookup and others if possible (IMDB is missing a few movie posters)
- Different view modes (list, icons, filmstrip etc)
- Nice readable fonts (like the old one)
- Playlists
- Edit, delete, remove from DB, create thumbnails etc functions that exist in the old one
- Genre categorization with customizable thumbnails (exists in ver. 5 I am using)
- DVD folder/ISO playback support
- sort options
- rating showing as number not stars
- I never used "scan" because I started my movie collection at the time I installed MyVideos, but now that I have a large collection, I think it would be very useful.
- Stacking was useful until I learned how to join movie files.

The old plugin was perfect in many ways, a similar one would be a fantastic development

Reven, I want you to know that your My Videos plugin is the sole reason I have not upgraded past the 98 version of gbpvr. Your plugin is pure perfection for me and my family and I am overjoyed to see you show some interest again.

My only requests and they are very minor:

- Have an option to play all videos found in a folder like "Video Library" can.
- This is probably outside the scope of the plugin, but a bookmark feature for videos would be great as well.

if you a bookmark feature like dvd chapters for a standard video file, then yes that is not possible via a plugin (unless sub has drastically changed something in gbpvr since ive been gone, but im 99% sure he hasnt)

wouldnt be able to create the interface for it (well not within gbpvr), and im not looking at creating a complex feature that hardly anyone uses, i want to stick to a sleeker plugin that does what it does really well.

I understand the limitations you are dealing with. Actually by bookmark I would only want one marker per movie, not multiple markers like DVD chapters. If I have been watching a movie for 30 minutes then have to quit, it would be nice if the next time I viewed the movie if MyVideos could give a button to say "Continue" on the same menu as the "Play" button maybe?

Not sure what your options are when manipulating movie playback, but if you could programatically start a movie at a certain timestamp this would seem to allow this sort of simple bookmarking, assuming the previous stop time was recorded in registry, ini, or some other file. Again I have no idea what I am talking about so feel free to slap me for being an idiot.

Yep, plugins can do that.
