Is there any way to display a vertical scrollbar on the TV Guide?

No, there isnt. Sorry, but the app is primarily designed for remote/keyboard control, and mouse support is secondary. You can use the mouse wheel to scroll up/down though.

I navigate the guide using either the arrow keys on the keyboard or the remote, but only having 12 or so channels I guess it isn't a major, personally I would find a scroll bar very annoying to use and it would detract from the look of the system.

Once again this is personal opinion. How about having a verticle skip button like how you can skip forward 12 hours have it skip down 1 screen worths of channels?

How do you skip forward 12 hours? That would be a big help and I did not find any mention of that ability in the wiki. I do not have any buttons visible on the TV Guide.

The skip keys on the remote (Ctrl-RightArrow/LeftArrow keys) with jump forward/back a day.

The FF/RW keys on the remote (Ctrl-F/D keys) with jump forward/back a couple of hours at a time.

Ctrl+Right and Ctrl+Left move 24 hours on my system and that's a real time-saver. Thanks for the tip.

For horizontal quick access in the guide: I use skip keys on the remote (same as Ctrl+Right and Ctrl+Left) to move to the correct day. As sub says, you can then use FF/RW (Ctrl+F and Ctrl+D) to jump forward or back a few hours.

For vertical quick access in the guide: I punch in 99 to jump to channel 99 or 33 to jump to channel 33, etc.

These steps are all done from the remote and put me close to the channel, time and day that I want to look at.
