Hello. (Wiki down, so i don't remember the brands listed for remotes and IR)

My primary GBPVR setup with the tuners is now using a Harmony 670 in place of the Hauppauge remote.

I'm setting up a 2nd computer to play recordings etc and I would like it to have a remote as well.

I have the spare Hauppauge remote, but no IR receiver.

Can someone recommend a IR receiver that would work with the Hauppague remote and gbpvr, or a economical remote with USB receiver pair?

I also have many (many) of those Direct TV type universal remotes, just FYI.

I got a media centre remote and usb receiver off ebay for 99p (ok it was 2nd hand but new chinese copies aren;t that much more) Most commands are handled natively, although HIP or similar does give better customization. The MCE remote also has the advantage over hauppauge remotes in that you can use it to standby / resume the PC.

Perhaps this one (Anyware GP-IR01BK) might be good? It's fairly inexpensive...
