Recording wrong channel & WEB refresh issue

Hmm, I think there is definatly a memory leak in GBPVRRecordingService.exe. I had another partial recording with only 7 minutes recording and the recording status left at green when I resumed the computer in the morning. Memory using for the service was at 90MB and climbing. This is after I had I reinstalled a clean copy, deleting everything in the old directory first and uninstall the program. I have had it work fine before though. Confusing... Could it have anything to do with recording at 640x480? I have had better luck with 720x480 I think...

Looks like I resolved all my issues.
No more short recordings. No more recording the wrong channel. No more hanging of the Recording Service.
I uninstalled the GB-PVR, all the intervideo stuff that came with my Plextor, all 3rd party audio and video codecs and manually removed any remaining registry entries.
Then I reinstalled the intervideo applications and the latest version of GB-PVR.
The only problem is that I still don't know what exactly has caused all this.

Now there is only one thing missing in GB-PVR for me! -- MP3 audio recording --
then I finally will be able to "listen" to my recordings on My Kiss Network player.

Maybe it will be in an updated version soon. (Please)

Hi, I have tried reinstalling everything, but I still got the short record. I got the first program right but the second one only got a few minutes. Could it have anything to do with my sleep settings? I have my monitor set to turn off after 5 minutes and 15 minutes for standby. Maybe the RecordingService is not turning off standby correctly.

Also after reinstalling everything I get this error in my logs:

It still shows TV fine though and records when it does work.

Does anyone have anything else to try? I really want to get this to work!

Ther key bit is GB-PVR failing to find your tuner components, but I'm not sure why you'd get this.

You could fire up graphedit.exe (google for it), click insert filter, expand the WDM Streaming Tuner Devices and tell us what Plextor devices are listed. This would usually contain on called 'Plextor ConvertX TV402U Tuner' but doesnt seem to on your machine.

Yea, I thought didn't look too good, weird thing is that it is able to capture video, I got 1 hour and 50 minutes of a 2 hour movie today...

Anyhow I checked graphedit and I don't have those filters, I have:

Plextor ConvertX TV402U TV Tuner
Plextor ConvertX TV402U TV Audio

There is an additional TV before TV and audio in the filters I have. I am using the newest drivers of the plextor site. I am going to try removing all of the intervideo stuff and only install the windvd creator and see if that helps. Thanks for the pointer.

I tried the old version of the the driver and the filter is still called the same. An interesting thing though is it still looks like the correct graph is built. It looks like it finds the filter:

Still happening... and it is weird, according to the logs things should be stopping, the commands are going out:

However the tray is still green and says it is still recording. If I restart the recording service from the tray icon, I get two instances... very odd! I just did a clean install last weekend, so I don't think it is any old stuff...

Hi Wirsing... are things still working for you? I am still trying to get my setup to work. Did you install both Win DVR and Win DVD Creator? Right now I just have Win DVD Creator installed. I have tried with both but it doesn't seem to help. Are you using the most recent version from plextor.com? Also does you get the same filter not found errors in the log?
