No video w/ PC client

Log files of pc client trying to play a .ts file in file sharing mode. Audio, but no video.

As a side note, ff and rew now work on the server with 1.3.7!!!

I'm sure it just relates to decoder. What video decoders have you tried?

Have you tried copying a recording locally to the machine and playing it there?

Where can I get the ATI or Cyberlink mux?

Cyberlink MpgMux.ax v 5.0.3906 attached, needs to be registered though ;-)

I assume you mean mpeg-2 decoder in the Playback menu?

I have Cyblerlink Video/SP decoder and MPEG video decoder, I have tried both with the same results.

I copied it to a local directory and added that directory to the video library and tried to play it, no video.

I did just try to play both a .ts and a .dvr-ms with VLC and both played fine.

Are these two programs using the same decoders or does VLAN use their own?


I just installed the client on another XP and another Vista system, both as clients. Neither of those worked either. Same results.

Do people generally have these issues getting the client working?

Where do I go from here to get this working?

unzip it somewhere. hit start -> run and type regsvr32 "c:/path/to/mpgmux.ax"
