I have setup gbpvr, it recognizes the hardware and it starts "recording" based on my schedule, but the files never show up. I can see it recording and I dont see anything meaningful jump out at me in the logs, everything seems to be working it even creates the directory for the show I am recording but no file ever shows up.

I am using gbpvr 1.3.7
a hauppauge 1600 card
trying to tape analog stations off cable (comcast)

Please find attached my log files. Hopefully this is something simple.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Looks like it's getting failures
Code:
2008-11-11 20:00:26.890    VERBOSE    Source pin for connect not found
2008-11-11 20:00:26.890    VERBOSE    ConnectPins failed: hr = 80004005
2008-11-11 20:00:26.890    VERBOSE    E_FAIL

Does live tv work? I don't know how to fix this, but hopefully sub does.

I also saw some DB is Locked errors in one of the other log files. You running from a client, or pCH/MVP?? Or just a single machine.

It appears this was most likely some sort of version related issue. In the past I had everything configured and working on this same machine so i uninstalled both the gbpvr and all the hauppauge software. I then re-discovered the card and re-installed both drivers and wintv app.

Then I reverted to the version of gbpvr I had previously used, version 1.2.9 and now everything seems to be working again. I re-configured everything by hand but used exactly the same setup as 1.3.7 so I am stumped but at least have a working solution for now.

let me know if you have any suggestions for getting the 1.3.7 working.

If you have a working system, what happens if you upgrade gpbvr now? Don't kill your drivers or anything, just install gbpvr over the top. This is what i do. Ive never reinstlled drivers and I've bee upgrading gbpvr since about version .99.

Of course take a backup of your existing gbpvr directory (or an image of your machine) before installing and you should be good to go.

well it WAS all working about 2 days later it stopped again with the same errors. Does anyone know if the errors in the log are hardware related (might the card be failing)? I noticed that there were newer drivers from hauppauge and have done the hwclean and installed these I have not had time to test but we will see if these help.

If someone could give me some insight as to the nature of the errors however it would really help, as if its a hardware failure I am just spinning my wheels here.
