Streaming?

If i understand correctly you can use GBPVR as a streaming server? I have seen mention of using pvrx2 as a client as well. I would like to try to do this but it seems i cant find a clear cut explanation of the process. I f someone could explain how i might accomplish this or let me know that i am incorrect in my assumption i would greatly appreciate it.

Can this be made to work across the internet? I tried putting the IP address of the server and i have all of the proper ports forwarded but it doesnt seem to work

Its unlikely it'd work across the internet. It makes not attempt to reduce the bitrate of the files you play or live tv, and its unlikely your internet connection would be able to keep up.

if you want to streamn acrosss the web then it might be better to look at the web interface that can transcode your files to a low bitrate on the fly. (assuming you set up port forwarding correctly)
