pvruser Wrote:you are a genius! it works - i see both recordings on the same tuner (comma separated).

is this a bug with all ATSC channels even on a new install or just an issue with those upgrading from an older version?

thanks!
Just those upgraded from an old version. If you redid the mapping, it will automatically save as T:x,0,0, but you didn't need to go through a full remapping.

pvruser Wrote:ok now the problem that remains is that the recordings wont play back in the interface... it just blinks and returns to the list. files have a "ts" extension but open fine with my player.

any ideas?

and then it crashed.
Zip and post the full pvrx2*.log files showing an attempt to play a recording.

Do you have the Haali filters installed by chance? If so, you need to reinstall it and uncheck the .ts option during the install.

filtercheck only checks for tuner filters. You can look in Add/Remove Programs to see if there is an entry for "Haali...". Also make sure that <UseBuiltInTSReader> is set to "true" in your config.xml

that tag wasnt there at all. i added it, restarted the service and it still crashes or blinks the same way. there is no haali in the add/remove list either.

i think the issue may be that the GUI doesnt try to read the file, and instead it's confused by the extension and crashes. if it tried to read the file it would play it back like all the other recordings made with the ATI codec (or the ones that are divx in my collection).

any other suggestions?

Only other thing I can think of is to try running "Re-RegisterFilters.bat", otherwise, sub will have to take over, sorry. You may need to bump the thread when he gets back.

well thanks for the help - but i guess this remains an unsolved issue for now. unfortunately the re-register did not help... i'm sure there has to be smth simple that we overlooked. Smile

If you add your recordings folder to your video library (done in config), do the files play from the video library?
