Sub, could ya add an option to not include encrypted channels. Over all, it's just clutter anyways.

I'm not sure I trust the GBPVR determination of encrypted/non.

Every single channel found, encrypted and unencrypted, has the * next to the name. Only 40-50 out of the couple hundred are actually unencrypted.

Sorry, I dont know then. That is what it is supposed to do.

I dont live in a country that uses QAM, so GB-PVR is not directly tested against it by me during developmemt. This functionality must have become broken at some stage.

This is in the Map digital channels to EPG screen? I don't get channel names! I get what is supposed to be a channel #, and a bunch of other stuff behind it I don't understand. I used whurlston's qam.ini tool to supposedly provide channel numbers. (Default with channel numbers)

If your cable provider does not include channel names in the PSIP data (most don't except for maybe the local channels) then GBPVR assigns a name based on the channel or frequency and the program number. It then appends "Unknown". It will also append "(AC3)" if the stream has an AC3 audio track. You can have multiple audio streams in a channel and if you do, you will see multiple entries: one for each audio stream.

OK - I am at home now and can see this first hand. And EVERY channel has an * behind it! Also, I have removed all splitters, put on a brand new RG6 cable, and when I scan I STILL don't see 86.3, which is ABC-HD!
Also, what is the AC3 audio? What do I need to play it back through GBPVR?

Zip and post your log files showing a channel scan.

AC3 audio is usually the surround sound track. Download AC3Filter from http://www.ac3filter.net and you will be able to play them.
