Transcode gives unplayable xvid

Today a recorded episode transcoded to xvid, but ended due to full disk so the xvid transcode didn't finish. The mpg was deleted though and left an unplayable xvid. I could fix it using divfix but the end was off course not there.
I now wonder if this can be fixed or if I missed some configuration, so if some error like this leaves the mpg and deletes the xvid instead, maybe even a function that can email or something to let the user know.
I was lucky that I already seen this episode so now real worry... this time :p

If it's going to be a problem, you might want to buy a slightly larger disk.

Or you could make a little batch file to email / p[op a message onsreen when space is low on your harddrive - I think I saw one around on the forums before.

yeah, putting in new disks is no problem.
The problem could be though that if some other error happens the xvid still get corrupt and the mpg will be deleted and that would be worse.
