Hi,

I'm currently running GBPVR 1.4.7 which is working very well, all apart from the transcode. I've read various threads about transcode problems, but I can't seem to find any refernce to it in the logs at all, regardless of what setting I use. I'm not sure which log file I should be looking in to be honest, but I've attached them all anyway. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Try running the command this is issued from the command line and see if any error are displayed.

Code:
C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party\FFmpeg\ffmpeg.exe" -y -i "D:\Recordings\The Hills\The Hills_20091012_16001625.ts" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -f dvd ""D:\Recordings\The Hills\The Hills_20091012_16001625.mpg"

Unable to find a suitable output format for 'Hills\The'

Right, it seems that there is an extra set of quotation marks around the destination filename that are preventing this from working correctly. Is this something in the config.xml file that I can edit?

Ok, some success. Manual transcoding is now working after removing the quotation marks around the destination file in config.xml, however automatic transcoding still isn;t doing anything. I have it set to ASAP so presumably it ought to start as soon as it's finished recording. I have attached the new log files....

Hi,

It looks like MPEG-2 is not defined in the config.xml file for AutoConvertTSToFormat (Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR). I fixed this by changing to to this:-

<AutoConvertTSToFormat>TsToMpg</AutoConvertTSToFormat>
......

and adding a definition for TsToMpg in CustomFFmpegConversions:-

<CustomFFmpegConversions>
<Conversion name="TsToMpg" cmd="-y -i {SOURCE_FILE} -vcodec copy -acodec copy -f dvd {DEST_FILE}" targetExtension=".mpg" />
........
</CustomFFmpegConversions>

You could probably just add a defintion for MPEG-2 in CustomFFmpegConversions

Hope that helps.
