Buffering - Could not play

My PCh has just developed a major problem. I have just upgraded the firmware on my A110 and B110 to the latest release. I have also put on the latest recommended mvpmcx2. Now, I cant play any of my recordings, or live TV. Checked through the logs (which are set to debug) and there is nothing I can see there that looks like a problem.

When I select a recording or live TV, the PCH Buffering screen comes up with a blue ! and a message saying "Could not play".

I've also tried telneting into the PCH and looking at the /var/logs, but can't see anything useful there.

If I exit mvpmcx2 and browse to the share of the recorded files on my server, they play without error.

In desperation, I reinstalled the NMT's using Martins install script. It seemed to fix it for 24hours, but it's gone wrong again now.

Any suggestions where I can start to look for problems?

If you zip and upload your logs I will have a look. I would also start be looking to see if interact with desktop is checked for the recording service. The install programs might require a reboot to activate this.

Thanks for the help once more Martin.

The recording service is set to be able to interact with the desktop. The MVP's and Client PC work fine. Also, the problem is playing any output on the PCH. Even pre recorded stuff that is perfectly happy to play on an MVP, wont play on a PCH.

I've attached a full set of logs that follow on from a config restart and then a failed attempt to play a recording of Holby City.

You changed the web server port to 80. It must be 7647 for the NMT server.

Doh!

Absolutely spot on - I could never remember 7647 whenever I wanted to use a browser to look at schedules etc. I am so impressed, I had completely forgotten I changed that and it never entered my head it might be associated.
