I'm sorry that I can't find my original post to bump. I know that sub was on a trip.

Where are the buttons in the Video Library of the slick skin?

i'm just wondering if we can put them in, if we find a place to put them in the skin?
or are they disabled in Slick?
some creative layouts should be able to get it all on screen acceptably...

My thinking (guess) is that the plugin is the same, so the hooks (is that what they're called) for the buttons should still be there, so adding the buttons should be a snap for you guys who think that stuff is a snap...

It is a snap, but I am too lazy.

I kid because I love.

Still lazy however.

Edit: Here is what I see without actually trying it.

Start with this line in slick:
<Placement name="StandardButtonOrigin" buttonsEnabled="false" loc="12,12" offset="5.0"/>

Change from "false" to "true" and then play with locations and offset to suit.

You may need to adjust these locations as well:
<Placement name="ListBackground" loc="0,0" forceView="LIST"/>
<Placement name="ListView" loc="2,24.5" size="40,4.5" spacing="5.0" rows="11"/>
<Placement name="InfoSummary" loc="62,25" onlyWithoutInset="true"/>
<Placement name="CoverArt" loc="43.5,25" onlyWithoutInset="true"/>

Sorry, man, probably got you beat on the lazy part. At least with skins...

I suspect the slick video library was more of a quick demo of using metadata. Maybe it's just not finished. Maybe it is. Dunno. But I'll wait

Its pretty much what I wanted it to be. I have no plans to add buttons. Others can have them in their own skins if they want though.

I find I never use the buttons so decided to make better use of the screen real estate.

It does look slick. I was hoping that there was a hidden (press the squiggly button and stand on your head) popup that gave a subform with the buttons.

That actually sounds good, doesn't it? But then that means extra coding for the Video Library backend, doesn't it?

I started ZProcess and UltraXMLTV becuase I wanted a tool for myself. Lots of other stuff that I haven't released, I use regularily.

It's amazing that GB-PVR started out as a little proof of concept program to watch stuff on Mr GB's lounge screen. And for the PVR 350... (I think I got that right...)

It's amazing how he's added as much functionality as he did, (and is doing), that he himself would not use.

And while he has a day job, and a family, and all that support posts.

I suppose if I want the buttons, I can add them myself...
