Playmee also does a lot more than just video playing, but provides additional functionallity for controlling players. There is also a plugin that is part of the Gotcha Covered series, that allows you to do a movie theater like Slide Show before playing a video. Start it up, and it'll run the slide show so many minutes before hand, with trivia, and all the other stuff you typically see before the main attraction runs. Again, for that movie theater type feel, when you are entertaining.

There are a bunch of little automated scheduled imports and exports you can do with Meedio as well, that we currently have to put in a post processing batch file, or pre processing file. Of course with this extra functionality also comes the complication factor.

yeah video playlists are needed, also better dvd playback, using fastforward is really difficult in gbpvr when watching a dvd, switching audio channels, switching angles, onscreen display for the title/chapter position etc (i think sub said he would need to switch from the windows dvd control to something like the powerdvd/windvd control to improve this first, which is a lot of work).

I get an error message every time I try to use the new XRecord. Either in a clean installation on my test box or on my 'production' box. Using either the Blue skin or the BlueMCE2 skin. The error message is:

Error: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.

I am running the latest version on XRecord and GBPVR.

So the default Blue skin could still have problems? The Red Sky skin works fine.. So how do I make it work with Blue or non-standard skins? I'd like Blue to work or BlueMCE2.

Thanks Jorm!

I installed xRecord and found that Schedule does not work.

It said that a PriorityRecordings.xml file is missing.

After some reading I found a sample one but gee. Maybe this should be included in the install?

I thought it was included in the install, but then again it may be that I already was using that file. You need to get the CDK scheduler if XRecord didn't have that file included.

Jorm..

Got mine fixed, I just moved the background from BlueMCE2 to the xrecord directory (under the BlueMCE2 skin directory) and the skin.xml from the xrecord directory under the Red Sky skin.

I don't recall off the top of my head whether or not XRecord was supported under the BlueMCE2 skin, however I copied the Blue skin over that directory (BlueMCE2) first and then installed BlueMCE2, the first copy to get any gaps. So It would seem you did not support the default Blue skin and I thought sub wanted at least that one default skin supported. In any case I'm fixed and happy Smile

The reason PriorityRecordings.xml isn't included is that if it was, it could overwrite somebody's existing one. A compromise, might be to include a Samples directory, and include the PriorityRecordings.xml file in that directory, so that the existing one isn't over written.

KingArgyle. I was thinking that we create a file called DefaultPriorityRecordings.xml
And when someone goes into schedule or when priorityrecordings is invoked it will check for the file and if not there will copy the default over.
