(Moved from the support forum... seemed to belong here)
I saw the other thread about the 801e SE but none of the possible solutions in that thread workd... and the OP didn't seem to ever get it resolved. So I thought I'd start a new thread.
I have an 801e SE connected to analog cable on a WinXP Pro SP3 machine. It works fine with the Pinnacle application and with Beyond TV 4. However, I cannot get it to work with GB-PVR 1.3.7.
I have tried modifying bda.ini and direct.ini with what I think are the correct filters and input/output names as seen in filtercheck.log. I have gotten as far as GB-PVR detecting the stick with the "only detected on this machine" checkbox checked, I have successfully set up the EPG and it initiates and completes a channel scan. However, it doesn't appear to find any channels and trying to watch live TV results in a screen with the channel number and program info but no video and no audio.
I also see that the LED on the 801e is not lit, so it does not appear to be powered.
If I start the Pinnacle application and view video, the LED lights, but goes out again when I close the Pinnacle application even if I immediately try to use GB-PVR while the LED is still on.
There must be something fundamentally wrong here but my hacking attempts have so far failed Can anyone help? I can't help but notice that almost no one is using Pinnacle sticks here.... are they perhaps simply not compatible with the GB-PVR interface? I hope not.... the stick works great, although the supplied Pinnacle application is a joke.
Thanks,
Paul
