Hi All,

Been looking all for this one but can't find anything hence the new thread.

I'm trying to inject recordings into the database using schedule.exe from DigiGuide using

C:\Program Files (x86)\Devnz\GBPVR\Schedule.exe -channel $ChannelAssignment -start "$TimeStart(%Y-%m-%d %H:%M)" -stop "$TimeEnd(%Y-%m-%d %H:%M)" -name "$ProgrammeName" -pre 1 -post 2

This has always worked great on XP but now on Vista it crashes. Running from a command prompt, schedule.exe with no parameters should show the usage info but instead produces:

------------------------------------------------------
Unhandled Exception: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'GBPVRPublic, Version=1.0.2978.22707, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.
File name: 'GBPVRPublic, Version=1.0.2978.22707, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' at Schedule.xb979ad394703258e.xfb409e85bd292293(String[] xf18a926310372520)

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

------------------------------------------------------

Also does the same with full parameters.

Background:
Q6600 CPU, 4GB RAM all running fine previously on XP32.

New build from scratch of Vista x64 Ultimate on new disk.

GBPVR 1.3.7 installed with the usual re-registerfilters.
WinTV Nova T-500 Dual Tuner

Logs attached but doubt they'll help as the exception is thrown before GBPVR does anything.

Nothing to to with UAC or run-as admin as far as I can see - happens qith UAC on or off, user a/c is admin, non-domain (at mo).

Any help greatly appreciated!

Wow. I never even noticed schedule.exe existed. I just tested and can confirm the crash on x64.

Just a guess but it could be similar to something I had to fix for the DVB-T Radio plugin to allow it to run on Vista x64.

By default Visual Studio was building my assemblies to a target platform of 'AnyCPU'. This is fine for Vista x64 until an assembly needs to load another 32-bit assembly at which point it fails with that exception (at least I think it's the same exception as I saw).

If this is the case then Schedule.exe will need to be recompiled for a target platform of 'x86'.

Over to sub...

Cheers,
Brian

It will be what Brian mentions above. Here is a patched version that will correct it.

Thanks Sub, working a treat.

What can I say?!?!?!

Brian - thank you to you for nailing the right direction.

Sub - you're a star! Taking the effort to recompile so quickly, I'm impressed. Big Grin Extra bonus coming your way..

Cheers
