I'll try to create a new one and upload it tomorrow. The one I use is out of date I guess and the test machine has few channels setup. I'm still mainly relying on a PVR150 and Sky box.

Using ancient Nova-s

Strange - not for me. Only time I got channel 4 on my sat card was when it was found as '8350'.

I posted a new PsiParser.ax patch in another thread yesterday that may help with scanning issues. It might be worth giving it a go if you get a chance.

Pob, on your uploaded scan file channel4 was seen as

T:10714,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2041~P:9211~V:2311~A:2312~L:eng~PMT:256~TXT:2314~PCR:2305~N:>Channel 4

should 8350 be in that

intrestingly my scan tonight show slightly different

T:10714,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2041~P:9211~V:2315~A:2317~L:eng~PMT:256~TXT:2321~PCR:2305~N:>Channel 4

I have a look at the PsiParser.ax patch

I've just had a quick scan and map and with this, ch4 and 'five' seem to work.
Watch out for the added spaces by the forum software (I'm not sure if they would upset the scan-cache file??).

Code:
T:10714,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2041~P:9211~V:2315~A:2317~L:eng~PMT:256~TXT:2321~PCR:2305~N:>Channel 4

Tried the new Psiparser, and config.exe from the survival guide, but still find scanning very quirky. If 'Ignore errors' in BDA advanced settings is checked, config crashes on random transponders. With it unchecked, scanning goes through all 95 transponders but many of the transponders are skipped after just a second or so. End result is that it still does not find unencrypted channel 4 or, for example, BBC NEWS 24.
So still using an old scan-cache from some time ago. For me, channel 4 is not an issue because I use my Nova HD-S2 just for channels only broadcast on satellite, i.e. the HD channels, and not for any channels available on DVB-T (as I have two DVB-T tuners for those).

Any chance you could make 200MB or so "full ts" recording from one of the frequencies available somewhere for me to download?

I'm totally !

How can two different people using the same card/country get different results.

As I said earlier I have a Nova T 500, been using with no problems.

Bought a Nova HD S2, fitted and setup - found i could not get CH4 and Five to work.

Used other peoples scan files but still no joy.

Decided just before xmas to reinstall everything for the fun of it (idiot :eekSmile

Now my Nova T 500 has dissappeared from device manager

However channel 4 now records - Five still does not

sub is there anything I should look in the logs to explain why some free2air channels record and others don't?

In the meantime I need to find out whats happend to my Nova T 500Sad

When you try recording those channels do you end up with any file? is it bigger than zero bytes?

Hi Sub, previous full TS files uploaded are still available;
163mb:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0BQS11IB
306mb:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K9910JSR

The scanning issues existed when both these were uploaded...
