EPG Hauppauge HD Satellite card

Now that I have managed to get my new satellite card working on live TV and recorded tv including BBC HD I am getting stuck trying to download channel information .

The EPG listings are empty despite setting off the update EPG many times.

The EPG listings used to work on my old Nova freeview card but I rebuilt my PC in order to get the satellite card to work properly.

If satellite EPG does not work can some kind person please explain in idiot terminology how to connect Digiguite to GBPVR,

That is by design. The UK providers don't broadcast a proper DVB EPG.
You can use xmltv EPG instead.

Download xmltv gui from www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/, configure it to use radio times and pick your channels. Let it generate an xml-EPG. Then configure your recording source in config to use that file. You will want to schedule a windows task for your xmltv updates.

Yes I use the excellent XMLTV GUI from http://www.birtles.org.uk - it is ideal for the main UK DVB-T and DVB-S channels.

If you put a batch file like the one attached into your GBPVR folder, then GBPVR will automatically run the XMLTV grabber and update the EPG at the time you specify in config.

An encrypted (maybe just compressed) EPG is being sent just for them.
I think someone has or nearly has created a grabber, but it is a bit messy as you have to tune to a specific transponder to get it.
