DVD won't play

I have reinstalled 1.2.9, and the DVD will no longer play.

It starts the DVD spinning but the screen stays black.

Try setting the DVD Navigator back to the default one instead of the Cyberlink one. It might help.

Do you know any issues for playing iso images. I use Daemon Tools Lite 4.30.3. (Anyone know how to get rid of the unmounting/mounting message?)

The first iso image chosen after PVRX2 has started starts and plays fine. Any subsequent one won't unless you quit out of PVRX2 and restart then it starts and plays fine.

Have you got automount ticked and secure mode unticked in deamon tools options?

I have a similar problem with 1.3.7, in that DVD does not work. It did not work with either the default or the cyberlink selected.
I have 3 DVD players installed, and they play DVDs fine now. (Originally they wouldn't play DVDs because I was using a Promise Ultra66 card to run the DVD drives, but those cards cause problems with the DVD player, based on experiments on another system). Now the DVDs are hooked to the motherboard, and the players play fine.
Why do I only have a choice of default and Cyberlink? The best player I have seems to be Nero Showtime 2, which is a variant of PowerDVD, but why wouldn't a codec show up for WinDVD?
Thanks for any help. If I need to supply further info, let me know what's needed.
