Hello,

I have downloaded both zap2xml and mc2xml to generate an xmltv file. When I point GBPVR to that file and try to update the EPG both dont work. With zap2xml I get all the channels, but no program info. With mc2xml, GBPVR either crashes or does nothing.

Anyone have any better luck? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Zip and post your logs showing an attempt to update the EPG.

I'm having the same trouble, not having changed any settings, all of a sudden zap2xml doesn't work. When I do the update at command line, everything works as usual, when I update via gbpvr, it reads the xml file, everything seems to go as usual but it takes seconds instead of how it used to take minutes, and everything shows as "no program info" on the guide.

EDIT: Ignore my post, I didn't realize that zap2xml was updated in December, I installed the new version and all is great.

I have sometimes had problems with the Zap2xml script disabling itself. It will act like it has downloaded the new xml information, but it will not update the XML file. Even reinstalling from the same zip file does not help. The solution that I found is to download a new copy of the zip file and install from that file.

My guess is that zap2 sometimes updates the downloader but doesn't post anywhere that they have made changes. But they do have a way to disable older update program. If this is true, then they have probably modified the updater once again. Though I didn't have any problem with the latest update I downloaded on Feb 5.

Anyhoo, I would give that a try before you start tearing into the guts of anything else.
