Hauppauge HVR 900H hybrid configuration

hello,

I've a Hauppauge HVR 900[SIZE="4"]H[/SIZE] Tv-card
its a USB-device with a hybrid-receiver that can receive DVB-T and analoguous signals.

I was able to configure GB-PVR (1.3.11) to work with the DBT-channels, but I cant setup this nice program for the analog channels / tuner.

For this issue I added the HVR 900H to the direct.ini (analog devices ?!), and configured 2 capture devices - one fore DVB-T and one for analog on the same TV-card

Now the tuner-assistent shows me an TV-signal - but no audio-signal - because of: "ConnectPins failed" followed by a message: "Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarAudioDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogAudioIn"

For this try I modified direct.ini in the following way (filtercheck result is appended at the end of this post) - this section is a copy of the existing Hauppauge 900 Section (without H) in that file.

What can I do to enable both capture capabilities - the recorder service should switch to the analog-configuration for analog channels and to DVB-T config for all DBV-T channels

Do you have the Hauppauge SoftMCE software installed?

I cannot install SoftMCE - the msi does not support this TV-card - says the installation-software

There are 2 problems ..

1. the missing/failure audio
2. the PVRX2 / recorder cannot switch the to analog channels - it means that there is no capture device watching for

You'll definitely need to get SoftMCE installed if you want to use analog on this card.

Sorry, I'm not an expert with these Hauppauge soft encode devices, so cant really give you any useful advice about how to get it installed. I've only done it once about a year ago myself, and that was with the original HVR-900.

No, it only works with the Hauppauge SoftMCE software.

the stand-allone installer does not work - but there is SoftMCE included in the WinTV setup ..

in my last try - the TunerAssistent was able to show me an video-signal - but tells me the ConnectPin error from above in this thread .. I continued with the tuning procedure and added these channels to the analog device config

the PVRX2 activates the second (analog) HVR900H configuration - I can see it in the "Show Status" window. But it seems the requested TV-channel becomes not activated .. Maybe PVRX2 hangs in an error because of the ConnectPin error ?

In which logs or files you are interested?
