Skin question.

I haven't looked into the skin jungle at all, I've learned to not mess with UI untill backend is up. And as a fact, the backend just never really is perfect in this hobby.

I wonder therfor if it's possible to get such a good looking main screen as mythTV has? If it's possible, has anyone done it?

I think it would be cool to be able to have more than a square button in GB. It doesn't change what GB will do, just makes it more fun. To be able to call up jpg for button fill would be neat.

Not that difficult to do, especially on the main screen.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about four posts above....

Although a lighter footprint with composite images, it could be done with .png graphics.
Maybe I'll do something like that...gonna take awhile tho...

For me personally it's very important that all skins are 100% compatible with the intentions of a skin. That is, it should work from an MVP etc.

The button graphics aren't so bad, it's the screen placement that's difficult to manipulate...
If there's a definite audience for this type of skin, I'll try it, but otherwise it's extremely time consuming.

It seems to me that if you did as simple of one as possible, it would give us something to play with to try to make our own. I am very interested.
