Minor issue: config slow to close

I am running GBPVR on a Intel dual core, 1.5gig RAM, and 100gig hard drive (PATA). After making changes in Config and then closing, it takes 30 seconds or so for Config to completely close. During this time, the hard drive is running non-stop.

Previously I was running GBPVR on an AMD 1.8ghz processor with 1gig ram and similar hard drive (PATA) and closing time was about 5-10 seconds.

I have defragged the hard drive and adjusted settings for performance.

Ideas?

How many channels and days of listings do you have? It cleans up several things in the database each times you exit the config app, and it can take a while on a large database.

30 or so channels. However, I had the same number of channels on the slower machine, too.

30 seconds does seem a bit long for that number of channels. Post the logs config.exe.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

Thanks for your offer of help. Unfortunately, my computer / hard drive died on me - too much playing around with it - so I had to switch back to the older machine...if I experience the same issue again, I will post the logs.
