file conversation never took place

Recorded a program have set it to convert to a xvid format, however the conversion never took place but it did create a 0 byte .avi file. The ts file is fine.

Is there any way to force it into .avi or do i need a third party program?

That typically means that the conversion was attempted, but ffmpeg doesnt like something about your transport stream file. You'll probably need to manually run the ffmpeg command line shown in the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log to see what ffmpeg is complaining about.

If you zip and attach your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and the name of the recording, I'll tell you the command line.

Sorry, you're probably out of luck. It sounds like ffmpeg doesnt like something about the encoding parameters your broadcaster is using.

My summary of this is that it doesn't currently work, but zehd (sp?) is working on fixing it with one of his plugins/utils (ztranscode i think)
