PVR 2000 also same problem

When this was first reported, I thought it might be a problem so I verified to see if this was accurate.
There is indeed a loss of audio when first starting Live TV, until you change the channel. However, this only occurs when using VMR7-9, but not when using Overlay. I hope this helps you track it down, Sub. -Sammy Smith

I have this problem as well. When first starting live TV I have no audio until I change the channel once. I think this is also related: I get no sound from the direct input (composite) on the PVR250 (which is hooked to a VCR).
The direct input also works in WinTV. I only have the single PVR250. Edit: With the latest update I get audio when first entering live TV, no channel change required. I'm still having issues with my cable box input on the PVR250. I get sound if the direct input is the first channel selected after a reboot, but if I change the channel away and back again I lose sound.

I lose audio in live tv also. Occurs when channel surfing (sometimes after a few channels, sometimes after going through a lot of channel changes). No matter what I do it won't come back on unless I reboot. btw there was no change regardless of setting for vmr-9, vmr-7 or overlay.

I have just finished rebuilding, re-installing nForce 5.10 drivers along with the 4.57 audio driver. Loaded 71.84 Nvidia Drivers. DVD Decoder 1.00.67 set properties to VMR9. Installed PVR250 drivers from http://www.shspvr.com for my pair of PVR250 model 16 boards. Lastly installed the current 0.91.11 gbpvr.
Play back options are Nvidia Video Decoder, Nvidia Audio Decoder and Nvidia nForce Audio. Board is an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe. Input is standard antennae. This seems to have resolved my audio issues. Not sure if was the 4.57 drivers or the PVR250 drivers that have made the difference. I suspect probably the PVR250 drivers were the issue based on my experience. Drivers were from the downloadable base cd. I have restarted/rebooted the service many times and it now seems to be fixed for me. I hope this helps other people stil experiencing this issue

I don't think it was a driver issue, Michael, because I have almost the exact same specifications as you, and I don't seem to have the no audio before changing channel problem either (knocks on wood). Looks like something Sub fixed that did it.
Just curious Sub, what was it that might have been causing the problems?
