I just got my first TV Tuner card and am trying to setup GB-PVR to work with it. The WinTV software that comes with the HVR-2250 works and displays picture and sound but it leaves alot to be desired. I'm trying to set this software up but not having much luck. I setup the EPG via MC2XML, then went in to configure my Capture Source. Everything appears to be setup there and I mapped the digital channels to those in the EPG. The picture and audio work fine when in the channel scanner, but when I start GB-PVR and go to watch Live TV, the application just locks up and does nothing. If I try to kill the process via Task Manager it doesn't do anything. I have to restart the PC to get rid of the stuck process. What am I doing wrong?

Try clicking live tv, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Here are the log files.

Out of curiosity, I tried to set a recording this morning for the price is right and it worked just fine. I opened GB-PVR and went into my recordings and it plays without issue. It only seems to be crashing when I go to Live TV.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I cant see any attempt to do live tv in those logs. Did you zip then up immediately after clicking the live tv button?

Yeah, I scrolled down to Live TV and hit enter and at that point the program stops responding. It never leaves the menu to switch to a TV view and the program won't respond to the keyboard, mouse, or remote after that. It won't even die when I try to kill it from the Task Manager. I had to restart my PC before I could zip/attach the log files because they're in use by the program so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

What date is on your pvrx2.exe file?

Are you using a Popcorn Hour?

The date on the .exe is 1/12/09, and I have no idea what a Popcorn Hour is (unless you're talking about eating :p)

I'm confused about something specific in your logs. Can you restart the app, click the live tv button again, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log files.

Let me get back to you on that. I just got it to start playing something on a different channel.

Okay, an update on my issue. I started GB-PVR and played my recording of the Price Is Right for a minute or so. It played both video and audio. Then I exited and went to the program guide and selected the local PBS station. I get a picture now but no sound. I am able to switch channels as well to CBS or FOX but still no sound. If I start GB-PVR and try to directly go to Live TV it seems to lock up still. Since it didn't crash this time when I went into Live TV after viewing a recording I attached the new log files. Again, thanks for the help.
