Installed the above mentioned drivers and see no difference. Tried QAM with both GBPVR and WInTV and got nada.

I cant remember what the problem you were having was. Can you try doing a scan, then post the logs?

Most likely you don't remember because I've been all over the place and am running GBPVR in many OS's on a few systems. I'm confusing myself too.
Logs attached. Scan run for QAM with the HVR2250 using the latest drivers.

Ah, I remember.

When it builds the graph on your machine, your demux file has different pins to a normal setup. Normally you'd get pins '1' - '5'. You get 001 and 002.
Quote:2009-02-27 21:25:02.640 VERBOSE Demux filter has the following default output pins:
2009-02-27 21:25:02.640 VERBOSE - 001: has media type: {455F176C-4B06-47CE-9AEF-8CAEF73DF7B5} {B3C7397C-D303-414D-B33C-4ED2C9D29733}
2009-02-27 21:25:02.640 VERBOSE - 002: has media type: {455F176C-4B06-47CE-9AEF-8CAEF73DF7B5} {C892E55B-252D-42B5-A316-D997E7A5D995}

Because of the above, the app fails to hook the components up, which results in the device failing to start. It then goes through the motions of doing a scan, but since the device isnt actually running, it'll never receive any data from device, and never find any channels.

On another system I have an HVR1600 and ATI 650 and the same thing happens but on both, if I use the HDHR, it gets all the channels it should ---23 depending on my cable company and its 'ON DEMAND' service.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Unfortunately I dont know how to reproduce this demux behaviour here.

Any chance you can make a machine remotely available to take a look at.

We tried this and for some reason, even trying with TightVNC and RealVNC, it was so slow on your side, it didn't work.
It's not the end of the world as I have the HDHR working and this is my backup recording system anyway. Maybe the next time I do a fresh install, I'll let you know and we can give it a try then without anything else that might be hindering it from working.
Thanks for your help.......again!

I got tied up with a server migration but I'm getting ready to install Win7 here in about an hour or two.

sub, sent you an email. It looks like the extra pins that are created are extra audio pins. There are 8 pins in all.

Put a fresh Vista on a new drive and the first thing I installed after the drivers was GBPVR. The 2250 still doesn't 'QAM' for me.....same problem. HDHR worked perfect the first time.
Reformatted and tried a newer build of W7 (I know it's not yet supported) and the same thing. In fact, I see so little difference between Vista and W7 on software it's not funny.
