After 2 nights of trying many different recordings and Wil's suggestion of setting the BDACheckSignalStatusDuringRecording to 1, I've not had any luck. In fact, I've not had any successful QAM recording at all. Even with my always perfectly working HDHR I'm getting 0 size recordings. I might start over this weekend.
Other than the BDA line added in config, to roll back the to the older nativeutilities, is a repair install all that's needed? If I do this and my HDHR works again then I'll assume that what it fixed for the 2250, it might have broke for the HDHR.
Anyone else with the 2250 and the HDHR in Vista/W7 seeing this behaviour?

Anyone tried the new HVR 2250 drivers? I'm still on 7.6.1.27056.

ftp://ftp.hauppauge.com/Support/HVR2250/

Driver Release 7.6.1.27076.PreRelease (3/17/09)
* Fixed support for QAM channels above 125. NOTE that this does not mean that every channel will be received well as that range can be questionable by broadcaster and tuner alike.

Driver Release 7.6.1.27075.PreRelease (3/16/09)
* QAM HRC fixed.

Driver Release 7.6.1.27073.PreRelease (3/13/09)
* Increased CIR NarrowBand Receive Buffer Size. Both are equal again.
* Turn off Blaster LEDs on Driver Load.

Driver Release 7.6.1.27072.PreRelease (3/12/09)
* Increased CIR WideBand Receive Buffer Size.
* Disable support for old "C1" prototype boards. Driver will load. No tuner support.

Driver Release 7.6.1.27069.PreRelease (3/10/09)
* CIR Blasting improvement.
* CIR Handshake disabled by default. Won't interfere with pre-existing CIR implementations on Vista.

Driver Release 7.6.1.27056.PreRelease (2/25/09)
* Fix both Analog and Digital "First Tune" Issues.
* Fix bad interaction between [digital] tuners. Sometimes digital tuner would receive errors on tune from other.
* Initial Support for Crossbar Flexibility.
* Extend Digital Cable (QAM) tuning range up to channel 158 (max had been 125).
* Fix "Analog Blue Video on Digital Tune" issue. Sometimes analog video would go blue if the other tuner were tuned digitally.
* Fix MCE "FirstRun" detection of ATSC.

I just installed the 4.8a beta off the main hauppauge site. GBPVR isn't seeing any QAM. I was running .27023 before and had no issues with GBPVR. I tried the new version because WINTV was having some issues when I was trying to copy my video recorder in through the s-video input.

Not sure what's going on right now.

I'm trying to setup a 2250 in my existing system which has a 350 and 500 hauppauge TV card. I can set up the 2250 to record 2 analog or 2 Digital TV show and still have the 350 free. What I cannot do is have the 500 reconized by GBPVR the same time the 2250 are reconized. It seems the 500 and 2250 want to be DEVICE 1 and 2. Neither want to be 4 and 5. The 350 is always device 3. I have tried SPYSQL and re-order the devices, but this does not help. The error I'm getting during config and selecting capture sources is "device driver not apper to be installed......" for either card when I try to move them to position 4 and 5. Both work find if they are in position 1 and 2.

Things I have tried
Move capture sources to different postions
reorder devices in GB.db3
Delete and recreate GB.db3
2250 drives 4.7 and beta 4.8
Unistall and re-installed all 3 devices

I have run Device type detect and it only sees the 2 500 tunners, but not the 350 nor the 2250.
I'm not sure what to try next.

I'm using version 1.3.11 in windows XP Pro. All tunners are excessible WinTV 6.
Sub and everyone else who gives a lot of support, thanks for what you have done and are still doing.

Leave you 500 and 350 device numbers as they were. The HVR2250 capture sources will also be device #1 and #2. The device numbers only increase if the device are using the same drivers. The HVR2250 uses different drivers, so the numbers start at #1 again.

Same problem here trying to get an HVR-1600 working on a Windows 7 RC 64bit machine. Analog works fine in GBPVR, but Digital QAM and ATSC do not find any channels in GBPVR. They both work in Windows Media Center, although I had to use the AllowQAM_PowerToy=1 registry entry to get QAM to work, and AllowQAM_PowerToy=0 to get ATSC to work (in WMC). Right now I am trying to get ATSC to work, and have tried the NativeUtilities patch from above with the BDAUseGenericNPForATSC config setting. Attached are the log files from adding the tuner card and running a scan.

I ran the re-registerfilters.bat as an administrator, and it gave the attached error message for the following filters:

GBPVRParser.ax
PSIParser.ax
GBPVRFlowStatus.ax
asyncflt.ax
GBPVRWriter.ax
WSTSRTAnalog.ax
WSTSRTDigital.ax
DVBSubtitles.ax
netasyncflt.ax
GBPVRTSMux.ax
scflt.ax
GBPVRTSReader.ax
GBPVRTSMon.ax

Any other advice? I'd be happy to provide remote access if that would help.

If Win7 is like Vista, you may need to start a command prompt with 'run as administrator', then run the batch file from there.

That worked. I think the problem was that I simply right clicked and said run as administrator, which caused the working directory to be wrong. Using CMD as and administrator and browing to the GBPVR folder to run the batch file got rid of the error, but I still do not get any channels when scanning ATSC. I even removed the AllowQAM_PowerToy registry key completely and tried rebooting but no luck.

Here are the log files for the scan again.
