IR channel change not working in timeshift mode only

I'm using hipsend with .exe channel changer on a dish 322. Live tv preview mode changes channels perfectly but whenever I pause tv or uncheck "use live preview mode if available" gbpvr refuses to send IR blaster codes. My IR blaster is the one from Microsoft MCE remote 2005 version 2. Anyone have any ideas why timeshifting would mess things up? Thanks

Try going into Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, then view the properties of the GBPVR Recording Service, and enable the 'allow service to interact with desktop' setting.
