GO7007SBPreferMP3Audio - ConnectFilters:Failed(2)

Hi there,

Today i did a fresh install of GBPVR v. 9.111.
My audio recordings for divx are still in MP2 format.
The recording log shows the error
GO7007SBPreferMP3Audio - ConnectFilters:Failed(2).

Does anybody know what is wrong?
I used the Sherlock Codec detective and my mp3
codecs shows up all fine.

MPEG Layer-3 Decoder

By the way I still get the following error

Make sure your MPEG-3 setting is set to TRUE in the config.xml file. If it isn't it'll use the Intervideo Audio Encoder which will record only in MPEG-2 format. You should have a message in there when it is correctly detecting the setting that says looking for MPEG Layer-3 codec.

Also, make sure that with Sherlock, the MPEG Layer-3 says that it is using quartz.dll and that the manufacturer is Microsoft. If it says something else, something is overriding the microsoft default driver (i.e. PlayCenter if you have a Sound Blaster Live).

I kind of got it working now.
The divx audio is recorded in mp3 now,
but the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log still gives me the same error:

Sherlock shows Frauhenhofer MP3 as default MPEG Layer-3 codec.
When I check the propeties of the divx Audio it shows only 56kbps Bit rate.
(I was expecting 128kbps bitrate by default)
Is there anywhere I can modify the mp3 bit rate?
I also can not get the quartz.dll back as default MPEG layer-3 driver.
Can you tell me how to re-enable it or where I can download it?

Do you have a Sound Blaster Live installed? If so, you'll need to uninstall the Creative Play Center, it overrides the MPEG Layer-3 and puts it's own driver in place of the quartz.dll reference. But if you are getting MP3 audio tracks then I wouldn't worry about it. I get that same error message with a LifeView Walker Ultra but the audio records fine. I think it might have something to do with trying to resample the audio to a higher rate. Personally, I need it at either 32000mhz or 48000mhz, if it gets in at 44100mhz I can't play it on an external player only the computer.

I hope that we can get Lame3 encoding at some point, as it's a better encoder than what comes with Windows.

But I do have a Creative Jukebox Zen connected to the PC
using Creative Media Source.

I finally succeeded in installing the correct MPEG Layer3 codec.
Sherlock does now show quartz.dll.
Now My MP3 audio bit rate is 320 Mbps by default.
Anyway I can modify the audio bitrate?

Hi there.
After installing the lastest version of GBPVR (9112b) I don't seem to have
the option to set "GO7007SBPreferMP3Audio" to true.
This happens if I do an upgrade from version 9111( mp3 working fine)
or a clean isntall. I tried both.
Has this been removed on purpose, or am I doing something wrong?

If you want it enabled just add the following to the config.xml
<GO7007SBPreferMP3Audio>true</GO7007SBPreferMP3Audio>

I've put the setting back in the config.xml for the next release, but I'm defaulting it to 'false' since a few people dont seem to have the required MP3 encoder on their machine, which can lead to problems...

It recorded the avi in 320 mbps mp3.
Anyway I can set this to 128 mbps instead?
