I think I have all my filters registered correctly (see attached log files) but I can't play back .TS files with GB-PVR - I hear audio with no video. They play fine in TotalMedia Theatre (version 2.1.4.108) and in vlc. I recorded these files with Arcsoft TME.
Is there anything I can do to help troubleshoot these HD-PVR encoding and decoding problems? I can't wait to get this working in GB-PVR.
This sounds VERY similar to the problem I had with recordings. My guess is that you do not have the updates from the survival thread applied and that is why you are getting the blank screen on playback. I had the same experience.
One thing you should try it to use LiveTV instead of dealing with the recordings. I initially got LiveTV working before the patches would work with a recording.

Sub,
Did ArcSoft really make the h264 decoder unusable or did they just not register it when installing TME? After installing TME version 1.0.9.5 that was on the HD-PVR 1.0.5.301 CD, 'System Default' was the only entry for H.264 Decoder. I then copied ASVid.ax and ASH264Vid.dll from the "C:\Program Files\ArcSoft\TotalMedia Extreme\Codec" folder to "C:\WINDOWS\system32" and registered ASVid.ax. An 'ArcSoft Video Decoder' now appeared as a H.264 Decoder choice.
After selecting the 'ArcSoft VideoDecder' I was able to watch a .TS recording from the HD-PVR.
The ArcSoft decoder version was: 2.25.138.58 X86, Oct8, 2008 10:15:08
A search of the registry found that only the "C:\WINDOWS\system32" copy of ASVid.ax was registered.
