That looks nice. The "if exist" command is what I meant earlier.

This thread is intriguing. Is a final version of the zip with these files available with all the tweaks (including the deletion protection)?
Also, what kind stats are available? How much space can be saved and still preserve good quality playback? How long does it take to compress with a dual-core Intel processor at about 2.3 Ghz? Does Xvid format cause problems with the commercial skip files?

I'm gonna try this now....looks good, I just need to get commercial cutting right first.

Yes the final is in post #35 in this thread. Here is a direct link...
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=35 The total encoding time is pretty close to the time the recording is. A lot of it depends on the video quality and such. The video and audio bitrates alternate (i.e. fight scene with lots of explosions compared to slow scene with little talking).

On a side note, you can also encode older recordings with this quite easily. Just right-click once on a .MPG recording and go to OPEN WITH > CHOOSE PROGRAM. Browse to "C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party" and select "XviD 2-pass.bat".
BE SURE TO UNCHECK THE BOX IN FRONT OF "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"!!!

Thanks for the script!

I have just tried the script and it gives an excellent picture but the aspect ratio is 5:4 where the original is 16:9....is there anyway to fix this????
