Thanks for the pointer sub , Iam looking into it right now

xmltv gui ( x 2 ) 2 differently configured copies

1. First version grabs the uk freeview listings stores in radio.xml ( read by both internal tuners of my Nova-t 500 )
2. Second versions grabs the uk freesat listing and stores them in radio2.xml ( read by my Nova-HD-S2 )

Iam emptying the epg , flushing the cache and re-trying it again.

Thanks for the help sub

I tried what I outlined above without sucess
I opened the xml files and lo and behold multiple entries for the same shows , so its the xml reader screwing things up.

Interesting side note:
Just for a giggle I tried to see if I could record the same show multiple times , I could ( 5 times in fact )

Yeah, thats what I suspected.

Yes, with multi-record it should be possible.
