This is because the control is intended to support remote controls which have aloha numeric keys. This means that to get a number on a keyboard you need to press the same number multiple times.
This is likely a codec issue on your machine. Standard mpeg files captured from DVB-T, support MPG 2 audio which is likely to have been installed on your machine. VLC uses inbuilt audio and video codecs so does not require them to be installed in windows.
To save space I compress the audio using MP3, this means the mp3 audio codec is not installed on your machine. I suggest you get the Lame codec from http://www.free-codecs.com and install it. This should hopefully fix you issue if not just let me know and i will investigate further.
Still having a problem with the lame_enc.dll (LAME MP3) however. I have it, but how to install it is the problem. The package at free-codecs includes no install routine, no INF file, nada. It also won't install using Regsvr32, I've searched the web for hints (almost all are application-specific - ie put it in the app folder), I've searched these forums, I've tried putting it in the gbpvr folder, in the Windows folder, in Windows/System32, and nothing works.
Now, after two or three hours of trying, I've run out of ideas. Any help you could offer would be great, thanks.
