The problem is I have a 32" standard def CRT TV, and it is quite hard to read the small font. Is there any way to increase the size of the font?

Also, it would be nice to only show folders that have videos in them and hide the rest. Would that be possible?

I'm assuming that the space on the right is meant to show cover art or something for the show? Would it be possible to show the contents of the folder on the right instead? That would save me entering each folder to see if there are shows in there.

You can tinker with the "skin2/slick/VideosLibrary/skin.xml" file to make the entries bigger (the original is available for reference: "VideoLibrary/skin.xml").

I can take a look at hiding 'empty' folders as an option that's disabled by default.

Showing file contents on the right seems like more trouble than it's worth. However, I'll be making the source available on google code as soon as they finish adding mercurial support. Other people will then be able to more easily contribute if they wish.

I have a new version but I managed to crash GPBVR once during a series of changes. I'll do some more testing before doing a full release, but for anyone that wants to help confirm that everything is ok, I've attached the new dll.

What is the criteria for showing folder thumb and metadata?
In the previous version, a thumbnail where shown if it had the same name as the folder or where called "folder.jpg" (or png etc). This version seem to show the first jpg it finds alphabetically. But I'm not sure, in some cases "folder.jpg" seems to be selected even if the series name is something like "bones".

The same seems to apply to meta data, when I browse folders, the first available episode xml-file is shown - if that folder contains a video. If I add a serie specific xml, this is not shown (the episodes in this case is placed in "season 1" etc). In some cases I get a empty popup...

I have tweaked the blue skin to show a larger episode thumbnail below the buttons and metadata to the right of the video list (I use the hybrid view; icon view for folders and list when there is videos). This have worked perfectly - up until now. This because the popup hides all folders on the right side.
A improvement is that the folder thumb now is shown below the buttons, earlier only file previews where shown. I like that!

The issue that the folders is hidden is an easy fix, I can move the popup. But it is a great spot for episode info...

I do like that thumbs are loaded faster, that is great. Although I only played with it for a short time and started to investigate the problem above...

So, I have suggestions on a couple of improvements (or changes):

High prio:
If there is a image named folder.jpg/png, use this primary.
If a folder have an xml-file with the same name as the folder, use this - even if there is no files in that folder. I, personally, would prefer if episode specific metadata wasn't used on the folder level.

Medium prio:
In the light of my own tweaked skin, I would like 2 separate popups for folders vs files. This would make it possible to position them differently... (they can look the same by default)
Alternately, a setting to turn off metadata for folders (would be a pity though).

(I feel I have rambled a lot in this post. I hope it is possible to read it...)

7ore: Let me know how well the attached version works. The only thing intentionally missing is the option to ignore episode-specific metadata on the folder level.
