Setting up Logitceh Remote

So, I have been following the wiki page describing how to setup the Harmony remote, but I am running into a problem with the WinLirc.exe file. It says that it is failing to initialize. I am running Vista 32 Ultimate. Any known issues there? Do I need to do something in the configuration to make it initialize properly? Should I turn off Windows Firewall?

What type of capture card and IR receiver are you using?

sorry it took so long to respond...I had family in town

I am using two Hauppague HVR1600 cards and an ehome infrared receiver (USBCIR) HP model. I bought it from someone on Craigslist for $5, and I think it originally went to a HP HTPC setup. It has worked flawlessly with my logitech remote in Vista MCE.
