excellent news...Smile i knew it'd just be a matter of time...
one thing, hhow about resume accuracy? last ver it wouldn't work for me on either pc or pch when pch2 mods added...
i went to using old .exe for pc, and pch2 .exe for pch so i get best of both worlds for now...
but pch still won't resume properly on long shows..[1 hr or more]

i've been using it more and more since the improvements..speed is amazing on my wireless g...

almost like being on a pc-client now..quite the accomplishment..
tequilla shots on me...Wink
[while watching the iron man bd i 'found' somewhere...hehe]

The resume location comes from GBPVR. If you run mvpmcx2 from telnet you can check the absolute seek location to see if it matches what GBPVR is expecting as shown as the GBPVR logs. If they are close there is nothing I can do. You do need to be using the new Recording Service, but other then using a better server side mux I have not alternate solution for you.

oh, the resume thing seems to be a bug in the main app only in pch2 versions, doesn't work at all on main pc, client, or pch....just starts from beginning...
i guess i was misleading by saying 'accuracy'..

right now it works for me by using original 1.3.11 pvrx2.exe, just not the pch2 version..
so i use the original .exe for main pc, and pch2 .exe for pch...
just thought you might want to test it when you get together on new release..
[unless it's already been fixed in a later ver than i have]

I don't fully understand the problem but is it possible you use an MVP too and you need the newer PVRx2.exe in this thread?

it is kinda confusing...
i'm not using mvp...just pch100...

i''ll try to be clearer:
resume doesn't work at all with the 'pch2' version of pvrx2.exe on either main pc or pch....at least not for anything longer than a minute or two..it just starts from beginning...
i can start the original [non-pch2 mod ver] pvrx2.exe and it works fine on main pc app...

but this effects pch cuz i have to use that pch2 mod ver of pvrx2.exe as it's server to get the enhanced features..therefore no resume on pch..
it acts like it's going to do it then starts at beginning every time..

problem seems to be in pch2 ver pvrx2.exe *only* as rec service is storing them correctly, and sending info when asked, just the client app isn't starting there...

but by simply switching out the pvrx2.exe with the original, non-pch2 ver, it works fine on main pc...[but 'pch2' won't work]

ahh, that new .exe fixed it...Smile Big Grin
thanx a bunch...
i saw that one but didn't think it would have anything to do with resumes, but it seems to have...

looking forward to trying out the volume controls...
that and the osd flashing were my only wishes...perfect for me otherwise..

oh and kudos on the mvp remote addon...Big Grin too cool...love that remote...

Ok thanks I will link to that PVRx2.zip for the instructions. I hope that sub can address the OSD flashing issue, this is one case where the extra speed of the PCH doesn't make up for the fact I am simply trying to emulate an MVP. There are many better ways to do this.

bummer, that exe doesn't fix resume for in-progress recordings...Sad
so sorry for the bad report...i should have rebooted after replacing the exe as it may have cached the original one...that or i accidentally ran the original one and didn't notice..Smile
[or the recording finished while i was testing]

Yes somewhere along the way resume on in progress does seem to have been broken. I never had resume working on inprogress recording from the Recordings menu, but they used to work from the Video Library. The timeline is wrong now too.

I should add this is a GB-PVR server side issue.

I just back to capture some logs and and it is now working fine. The time line shows up correctly in the Video Library and in Recordings, and resume works from the Video Library as expected. Don't you hate computers?
