divx compatiple MP4

I just bought a portable DVD player that plays divX and I've also got a PSP, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to make divX compatible MP4 files that would be able to play on both my portable DVD player and my PSP. I really don't want to encode twice. I've already got all my recordings encoding to PSP MP4 format.

I don't want to use anything but the stock media player for the PSP as I haven't found them to be very good. I just wish Sony would make friggin divX available on their PSP.

There is no way of doing that. PSP uses a different codec (AVC w/ AAC audio I think) than divx, so no go.

I found a custom firmware player that plays divx. I know I said that I only wanted to use the stock player, but this one is pretty decent and fairly easy to use.

It's called PSPlayer 2.0 (upgrade from PSPlayerMT). It can only play up to a resolution of 460 x 272 and MP3, but that's ok. The resulting divx file is also compatible with my portable dvd player so this is a good compromise.
