I've tryed to use this latest version, but using PCH2 mode gives me problems.
I'm playing around with (mostly SD) DVB-T broadcast (video H264 + mpeg2 audio).

1. Live TV refuses to start, there is basically black screen, a couple of seconds of audio and then no response.

2. When playing recordings they play fine until the recording ends - then the box hangs. Same happens when I press stop.

In hangs I can see that sometimes the mvpmcx2 process disappers alltogether (but gaya doesn't reappear). When starting gaya manually I can proceed.

PCH mode seems to work OK.
My setup is with HDMI, but has a couple of more pieces equipment (videoprocessor+HDMI switch) between a pch and TV. I hope thats not the source of the problem.

Could you compress and upload you GBPVR logs and I will have a look. However if your set actually loses HDMI after playing a video because of the processing time, I'm sure an unaccounted timeout could occur. An HDMI reset takes more than 10 seconds to recover.

This might be best be best to diagnose via telnet, I will see after looking at the logs. Telnet shows the lost HDMI which is outside my control.

Today I'm having a hard time getting anything to work (even viewing the recorded programs). The logs are are attached. Here is with a simplified the HDMI setup. HDMI only to VP, after that analog.

Try again with live and check the size of the live tv file in C:\Temp If it is zero or under 1MB you are having a recording problem. If not upload a copy of the file to megaupload or rapdishare and I will have a look.

Tried that. There was a file under 1MB created in temp. NMT went black and the to gaya. The files is located at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6825P9SQ.

There is plenty of space on the drive. Tried also that I start recording from NMT and the navigate to recordings->pending and play that file. On PC everything works. On NMT - lockup and black screen.

Logs also attached.

If it is under 1MB, there is nothing that mvpmcx2 can do to play it. Are you sure you are using the new mvpmcx2 and not an older version?

I'm using version from 31.05.2009 21:27 sized 1 420 096 bytes, which should be correct.

The short 703 KB file renders (although not too many frames) in VLC.

Does the 1 MB limit have some significance? Unfortunately our terrestrial DVB-T is highly compressed. They fit like 8-10 programs to one mux.

The reason I asked about the mvpmcx2 version is your file plays briefly on my PCH (people around a table, blonde girl on the left, one spoken word with subtitles). That is the correct one.

Maybe try the blue skin?

PCH got to a state that no .ts video worked anymore - had to reboot. It took a while to figure that out.

Using mono the recorded file (people at the table) works. How can I select it via mvpmcx2? Its not on recordings list.

When playing a longer (previously) recorded sample with mvpmcx2 the following happens - HDMI is synchronized a couple of times (i see it in videoprocessor), screen flickers and then gaya is started and is accessible. But wait - the sound continues. When looking at the ps in telnet I see gaya plus mvpmcx2 plus two mono processes:

I am confused with mvpmcx2 in PCH2 mode does not use mono to play mpeg file. From telnet could you run mvpmcx2 directly

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2
