The digital line up on most schedule sources is if you have digital cable and you are using their tunner box to receive the channels. If you want to use a digital tuner box you will need to plug the output of the tuner box into the S-video input on the 2250. You won't be able to get HD this way.

I tried to record 2 channels at the same time with the 2250. Both channels I had mapped as a digital channel. The shows recorded ok, but both are being be recorded by the analog tuners, not the digital tuners. How can I tell it to use the digital tuners?

Also, when viewing tv through the "Live TV" option(by pch) I get the audio going in and out. I can get it working smoothly by pausing it for a second and then pushing play. I think I saw that somebody else had this problem but not sure there was a solution.

Forget it. I changed the order of my tuners in the gbpvr config. Its now recording with the digital tuners.

Still getting the Live TV audio problem though.

I thought it was more related to the new HVR-2250 tuner card I added. I never had the problem with my old card.

Anyone try the new production 2250 driver

22xxdrv_27118 dated 19 May from the Hauppauge 2250 support page?

Or installed WinTV v7 and seen any adverse impacts to GBPVR?

Increase the size of your "Live TV Pre-play delay" to 3-5 seconds. I think it's 2-2.5 by default and it sounds like it just needs more time to buffer.

I've been using the 22xxdrv_27118.zip driver on WinXP SP2 32bit with GBPVR for about a week and working fine(only OTA DTV channels).

In W7, I've got this driver working with no conflicts.....yet! WinTV 7 is marginally better than 6. I get more QAM with it but it's still lacking so much it'll never be something I'll use.
As for as the drivers and GBPVR, in my 2250 and W7, it picks up QAM just fine now. I am still having some problems with recording QAM though as I get many zero size files. As I'm about to try the latest build of W7, I've not done much more testing but will soon.

I tried the 19 May production driver, and GBPVR could not longer see my QAM mapping. I didn't attempt a rescan. I got a similar result when I installed a March beta driver. I re-installed a prior 17 January beta version, and QAM came back. I don't know what to make of these results.

One shouldn't need to redo QAM mapping when you change the driver should you?

I'm running Vista 32 bit. I get quite a lot of "errors" in my recordings. I don't know if its the signal, the card, the drivers, or my ATI demux. Should one expect flawless looking recordings all the time? This is my first QAM card, I have nothing to compare it too.

The errors are most pronounced if I watch a pending recording even when there is 30 or 40 minutes of recording ahead of where I'm watching. When watching a pending recording I also often don't get complete recordings. Incomplete recordings is something I almost never see except when I watch the pending. Does anyone know what causes this, and what one can do to diagnose it further?
