New version of StartPVRX2: v2.0.0

New in version 2.0.0 is the option to monitor the GB-PVR Recording Service.

Why? I've found that occasionally the service fails and if you don't notice, you lose recordings. This new feature fixes that - but if you don't want it, you can disable it - it's enabled by default.

Also, the program is now better at monitoring if the Config app is running and, if it is, it won't give PVRX2 focus until Config quits.

I'm a huge "StartPVRX2" fan. I'm excited to try version 2.0.0 (and will as soon as I get home from work).

Just wanted to say a big "Thank You" to you for creating this utility, I find it absolutely invaluable. It makes GBPVR that much more solid and usable and much more idiot proof.

Have just discovered a welcome side-effect of my app:

Using the Windows Power configuration utility, I've recently disabled the ability to put the PVR to sleep from the front button/remote control. That's because a handful of times, I've lost/truncated recordings because I pressed the power button on the remote, either intending to turn off the TV or amp but by mistake hadn't switched sources, or when I didn't realise there was a recording in progress.

With the Sleep button set to 'Ask me what to do' instead of 'Sleep', it pops up the three-button 'Turn off computer' dialog box. But when StartPVRX2 resets the focus on PVRX2, that dialog box disappears and everything carries on.

This means that you can hit the power button by mistake and not truncate recordings AND, if you're using the PVR's desktop (as opposed to PVRX2), you then get the option to close it down under your control before the time-out kicks in to return focus to PVRX2.
