Bizarre problem - GBPVR stutters on HD recordings

Do you have a restore point (in windows) that you can go back to BEFORE the windows updates? I remember I had to shut out a DirectX update on my old setup because it screwed up playback (about a year ago so I don't remember details).

Yessss sorta, but I'd *really* prefer not to because I've installed new hardware since then (didn't notice the HD playback issue because most of my shows are standard def). Edit: In any case, I reverted back to DirectX 9.0b and it didn't help at all. Very very frustrating.

Cpu-demanding drivers etc. I would try to remove the new HW first, and if that doesn't help roll back to before the problem started and if that fixes it install the new HW again. I had the stutter before I installed the new HW (gfx card) but I had thought it was just a one-time thing so ignored it. Installed the new card. Realized the stutter was here to stay. |
