Audio but no video

I have installed GB-PVR but am having problems with video.

I got scanning to work - Initially it was giving errors about missing logo files in the folder "C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\media\ChannelLogos" which I found didn't exist, so I created an empty "ChannelLogos" folder and then it worked.

Now I am able to hear audio of live TV, but screen is black except for program information which does show.

I am running Windows XP SP3, using a Leadtek Dongle Gold USB TV Tuner.
I have selected Microsoft "MPEG Video Decoder" and Microsoft "MPEG Audio Decoder" in the Playback configuration settings. The other options I can select for video are "Nero video decoder" and "ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder", neither of which work.

It'll be lack of a decent video decoder.

Try installing and selecting this decoder: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

Thanks for the fast reply.

I installed MPV Decoder, but still can't see Live TV - I think maybe my PC is a bit slow as now audio stutters. However after installing MPV Decoder I could view live TV perfectly in the "Digital Mapping" preview (when setting up channels), with playback set to use either MPV Decoder or Microsoft MPEG Decoder. After uninstalling MPV decoder decoder again the "Digital Mapping" preview again played audio but no video.

Attempt to use Live TV with the MPV Decoder selected, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

I am 99.9% sure you problem is just the decoders you're using though.

Watch out for nero, this software is one wicht is able to dominate your system.

Try to uninstall it

@hoborg, thanks for suggestions. I don't need Nero decoder but I do need Nero Express burner. Had a look at SAF but I see it's only analogue TV at present. My TV Tuner is digital TV only.

Sorry, I dont know. I cant see any obvious cause in the logs.

Maybe try other video renderer options, and/or other audio decoders (since these can have a flow on effect on the video).

Uh, where did you read it is analog only? SAF support analog, digital and HDTV (h.264).
