Excellent software, running like a dream on the server.
Now I want to try and use the streaming to a XP laptop.

All loaded correctly, using ffdshow, and when I view live TV I get the OSD of program, then back to he menu. Have tried everything.
The logs are attached, and show the Directshow stopping for some reason.
Can anyone suggest my next step to make this work?

Thanks,
Chris

Streaming Mode is harder than FileSharing Mode. IIRC, you have to use mpg for streaming mode. Check that first.

I'll provide my experience with my XP laptop - others may have more insight. I never got live TV working, (but I didn't try hard either). I'd suggest starting with a simple test - just play a recording that's on your server using Media Player or Media Player Classic Home Cinema (my pref). Find the video on your server with plain old Windows File Explorer, then play it. If that plays fine, then you know you should at least be able to get the non-streaming configuration for the client set up. Make sure you test non-HD, then HD to see if your network connection can handle both.

Then test file sharing mode by turning that on on the Capture Sources tab of Config. Sub has posted that he has not put a lot of effort into HD/client, so I'd focus on getting SD configured if you want live TV and need streaming. My client is on an SD TV, and I run file sharing mode. If I want to watch TV, I don't use GBPVR (but I seldom do that).

Good luck.

I've streamed (even wirelessly) to an XP laptop...(core 2 duo, 2 gigs of ram). It sometimes is a bit tentative...but it has worked. It's not HD. I use the VLC setup. You might look into that route.

You need at least "G" wireless for it to work.
