Hi sub,

Just upgraded, and (hopefully) everything looks ok, apart from a weird problem with playing DVDs.

When selecting to either resume or restart a DVD, playback appears to hang. After 30 minutes of faffing about with it (and deleting dvd.dat, etc) I discovered that pressing play or pause causes it to continue and everything is then fine. Without pressing play/pause, the result seemed to be any one of: a black screen, frozen navigation on a menu screen, frozen (as if paused) screen of whatever was playing at the time of the resume prompt appearing, and very rarely, a complete PVRX2 hang.

So it's kinda working (and not nearly as serious a problem as I first thought), but something isn't quite right.

Logs attached (of a few attempts to play a (physical) DVD, with me pressing play/pause eventually).

(I'm using Windows XP SP3, no plug-ins other than the DVD ripper, weather and BBC iPlayer; previous version has been working flawlessly for months.)

I am seeing the same behavior on my initial testing. I changed <TreatPlayAsPlayPause>true</TreatPlayAsPlayPause> in the config.xml to false and it seems to have corrected it for me.

Yep, that's fixed it for me too. Cheers.

My upgrade suffered the same problem - although oddly not on all DVDs. The above fix solved it though, so thanks dark_half!

It was accidentally left enabled. It wasnt my intention to have it enabled by default.

I have the same problem but solved it by setting dvdautoresume to true (I quite like the play/pause toggle feature). I think the DVD playback is pausing waiting for resume / restart input from the user but the pop up isn't being rendered (tried cs skin and blue - same effect)

Maybe related, but when I'm launching an iso I get a pop up from daemon tools saying "please wait" while the iso loads and I wonder if it isn't stealing focus from gbpvr, hence the resume pop up not rendering. It's been a while since I last launched an iso, but i seem to remember that it used to be 'silent' with no popups from daemon....

If you use VMR9 Custom, you will see it, if you use VMR9 Exclusive you will not see it.
