I'm interested as well if you get this working. All the other Music programs choke on my large music collection through the MVP. Sub's only works if I navigate to an individual artist's folder, if I hit play on my highest level folder it chokes as well. If you tell me the Jukebox thing works I would love to try it.

I poked around on the Wiki, couldnt find it either.
Id give it a spin too.

Really hoping it has a feature Id like to see..
Some way to 'tag' a song into a playlist or just a txt file etc, while its playing. Id like to try making 'my' all time favs disc, and it would be handy to think - oh ya, id like this one to be on it -, then just click the remote. I guess the creation of a standard playlist would be the most universal approach.

Ok, im just dreaming .. Ill use a pad of paper ? lol

Once it is confirmed working, I can upload the changes on the wiki if the plugin author has no objections.

Fatman_do Wrote:Granted, I just made sure it would display. Didn't go any further than that.

#1) Create a folder under \skin\blue called _Coreimages

gbpvr\skin\blue\_Coreimages

Place a file called background.jpg there. It can be anything you want, or copy it from previous blue.

The skin was looking for that file location.

#2) Create a folder called Jukebox2 (or whatever you want) under gbpvr\plugins

gbpvr\plugins\Jukebox2

#3) move Jukebox2.dll to this folder.

#4) download and replace skin.xml in the gbpvr\skin\blue\Jukebox2 folder with this file...[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Any errors you may recieve, zip and attach your logs after reproducing errors.

The old skin.xml file was looking for elements of the old baseskin.xml file which is no longer distributed as well. I broke this association in the new file.

Good luck.

Ok, I'm up and playing with this a bit. Ran into a small problem right off.

I have installed the just released new version of GBpvr. Looking at the directory structure it has no gbpvr\skin\blue\_Coreimages, there is a gbpvr\skin2\blue\_Coreimages directory.

Is that where I should put it or should I make a gbpvr\skin\blue\_Coreimages directory for Jukebox to look in?

Seems the new version of GBpvr is using a "skin2" directory as opposed to just "skin"

Also anyone who wants to play with this just drop me a private message with where to send it and I will. I don't know why it's no longer listed in the Wiki but I figure the more testers (within reason)the better we'll do.

Since this is a "legacy", pre gbpvr v1.0 plugin, it must be in the \skin folder, and not the \skin2 folder.

Different skinning method and scheme.

It also appears to be looking for a file called skin\blue\_CoreImages\ListIcon_Folder.png
You can copy the folder.png file and rename it from the skin2 folder.

I missed this earlier.

Oh, so many things in here have changed since I last looked at the GBpvr innards. It's so close to starting from scratch that it pretty much is! Wink

Off to play some more, thanks for the guidance!

It Lives!!

Fatman do, excellent suggestions and following instructions it worked. I did have to make sure I added that ListIcon_Folder.png but it's working.

I can't test it on the MVP's right now as I have things apart re-wiring the house for HD and PCH units. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work though, it always did work even better on the MVP's.

This will do until enough interest is generated and I can find someone to re-write it to work natively with the new GBpvr. As it stands now it works but probably give trouble using any of the new skins.

But it works and that's enough for now!!!

I have emailed Dave (the author) a few times and I'll keep try but knowing him he would be surprised it wasn't in the Wiki and would have no problem were it updated and put back. Now I wonder what happened to the HomeSeer Plug-in, it's missing too? Wink

Thanks again!

Cheers, glad to see you pleased with the results, I can add it to the CommunitySkin easy enough so it will be included there in about a week (time is not on my side lately).
