Hi:

I installed gbpvr a few days ago seemingly without a hitch. However, every time I try to watch live tv, I get the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

A little bit about the system: win2k, gbpvr version 09112b, Winfast PVR 2000 with an analog cable source. I don't know what other information is important, so I won't ramble.

Please help...

Thanks.

The PVR2000 does not support the live preview mode, so make sure it is disabled on the misc tab of the config app.

Many thanks!

However, now I get the error "failed to communicate with the recording service".

Well, one step closer....

Further Steps:

I uninstalled/reinstalled gbpvr, and I followed the faq: "edit the Capture Source and click on each of the Settings buttons and confirm the settings are correct", but still no good.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try reverting to teh blue skin and see how it works. I've gotten the "not set to an instance of an object" by using a bad/outdated skin.

jcromes:

It was worth a try. I never used a different skin except the blue skin, but I switched to red and back to blue...no dice.

Thanks anyway.
